Not willing to roll your sleeves up?

I am of the opinion that leaders who are not prepared to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when the occasion demands will never be truly successful. I recently saw the phrase “unwillingness to render humble service” as a reason why a leader failed. It seems to me that you can’t be truly successful if you ask more of others than you are willing to do yourself.  One of the most frequent messages I have delivered to freshly promoted managers is learn to delegate but ensure you do not consistently delegate the most odious tasks.

Once again great advice.. You must dig in and be part or you wont be successful. People will want to work with you and for you if you show you are willing to work hard too..
